UOM - Melbourne Connect
The University of Melbourne, in partnership with a consortium led by Lendlease had a vision to created a connected innovation ecosystem of people, place and possibilities. In early 2020 Bison United partnered with the University of Melbourne team, again pushing the boundaries of digital communications for the construction and education sectors. Continuing our long term partnership documenting spectacular construction projects, Bison integrated 3D animation, on site project footage and interviews producing innovative and highly engaging monthly construction project updates. A fascinating project to document, Melbourne Connect located on the former Royal Women’s Hospital site, on the corner of Swanston and Grattan Streets boasts smart and sustainable design with a 6-star Green Star rating, and employs on-site rainwater harvesting as well as solar and geothermal energy. The open air oculus known as womin-djerring (come together) connecting the public to the precinct was especially well designed and a incredible structure to document.
